Jake grew up in Owatonna, Minnesota and has spent most of his life in southern Minnesota. His passion for helping people and solving problems led him to pursue the legal profession.

Jake’s practice focuses primarily on criminal defense and civil litigation.
Jake received his Juris Doctor degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. During law school, Jake served as a certified student attorney with Mitchell Hamline’s child protection clinic representing parents after their children had been removed from their home. Jake earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where he majored in history and was a member of the men’s wrestling team.

In his free time Jake enjoys watching sports, hiking through the woods, and spending time with family and friends, especially his wife and son.
